The Burra Club
A planned activity group for elderly residents with dementia. We provide an opportunity for adults with dementia to participate in a friendly and stimulating program that promotes the use of existing skills and endeavours to maintain levels of functioning. A range of activities meet the individual needs and interests of each participant and there is opportunity for recreation and social contact in a secured group environment. Held 3 full days per week in the Living Well Community Centre, 329 Dorcas Street, South Melbourne.

Burra 'B FIT'
Strength training and gentle exercises for older adults; incorporating helpful topics to enhance health and well being. An important aspect of the 'B FIT' sessions is to have fun and an opportunity for socialization.
A healthy light lunch is provided.

Burra Getaways
Weekly opportunity for a social outing for people who would find it difficult to get out on their own.
Runs every Monday 9.15am - 3.45pm.

Burra Travellin' Gourmets
Weekly outing for older adults (60+) to get together and enjoy good food, good friends, good entertainment and, most of all, good fun. Door to door bus pick up provided. Runs on Mondays.

The every second week outing group is for men who have limited opportunity to get out and about.

Emergency Relief
Provision of supermarket vouchers, food parcels and other assistance. Appointments made through the office Monday & Wednesay at 9.00am for South Melbourne and 3rd Friday of the month at Port Melbourne please call the day before to make an appointment..

Fresh on Friday @ the Simply Living Community Garden.
Shopping at Footscray Market for food shopping and preparing our lunch together.
Kitchen Mates
Social cooking in the Simple Living Community Kitchen, pilot program especially for those who have lost the partner who did the cooking.

Art Attack
A safe space for community members to express themselves and promote their wellness through art.

Labyrinth Walk
For connection and healing. Do you long for more quiet in your life? A chance to enjoy a contemplative space?
To walk the labyrinth is to make a pilgrimage, to discover something about ourselves and God. The destination is not important; the journey is! Labyrinths are not magic, though they are full of mystery, and they offer an avenue for participation in and the experience of many different levels of the mystery of life.
Facilitated by Rev. Peter Batten, community worker, creative and experiential art therapist and lover of labyrinths.
Port Melbourne Uniting Kindergarten
Has programs for 4 year old and 3 year old groups, including an integrated early intervention program. The newly refurbished kinder is next to Port Melbourne Uniting Church, 136 Bridge St, Port Melbourne.

Goodwill Opportunity Shop
Recycled goods & clothing sold to the community. Volunteer run, it provides affordable clothing and other items in a cheerful atmosphere. Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

A bike workshop where people learn about bike maintenance and get old bikes back on the road at an affordable price. Our bike mechanic, Mark, will teach you how. All welcome.

Sharing the Spirit of Christmas
At Christmas time we provide food hampers and gift selections for those who we have helped with Emergency Relief through the year. This is made possible by the generous donation of goods and time by individuals and businesses in our community.

A knitting and social group for women with reduced access opportunities. Meets once a fortnight.
